Geelong Galvanizing recently collaborated with Turi Foods, a locally owned, family run business that farms and manufactures poultry. Turi Foods is known for great Australian brands including La Ionica and Bannockburn. The business was seeking a long-term, highly protective coating for their egg turning stillages that are prone to rust and corrosion. Geelong Galvanizing were delighted to provide a solution in the form of hot dip galvanizing, a corrosion resistant steel coating that provides long-term protection & delivers significant cost savings due to the low lifetime cost of maintaining gal coatings. The galvanizing was undertaken at our local plant in Geelong and our fast turnaround enabled all stillages to be installed and fully functional within short lead times. The results speak for themselves; pictured below are the corroded stillages prior to galvanizing, as well as the finished upgraded fitout following galvanizing. The collaboration between Geelong Gal and Turi Foods has been a great success, with Turi now considering implementing galvanized units across their other divisions and facilities.
